Privacy

This site collects nothing itself. Your email address is collected only by Gumroad, and only if you choose to get an issue there.

This website

• The pages are plain static files. They contain no forms, no scripts, no embedded content, no tracking pixels and no advertising tags, and they set no cookies of their own.
• You cannot type an email address or any other personal data into this site, so the site has none to store.
• The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical data of each request (such as the IP address and browser type) in order to deliver the page and protect the service. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to that processing.

When your email address is collected

Only when you get an issue of SaaS Pricing Changes on Gumroad, the platform that delivers it. The free issue is a Gumroad product priced at zero: Gumroad asks for an email address at checkout in order to deliver the file. The address is entered on Gumroad's page, not here.

Gumroad holds that address as the delivery platform, and shares it with the publisher of SaaS Pricing Changes as the seller of the product, in the same way it does for any Gumroad product. Gumroad's own privacy policy applies to the data Gumroad holds.

What the address is used for

• To deliver the issue you asked for.
• To send you later issues of SaaS Pricing Changes and notices about the newsletter itself (for example a correction to a published figure), through Gumroad's email system.

What it is not used for:

• It is not sold, rented or given to sponsors. A sponsor receives no subscriber list and no individual subscriber data.
• It is not combined with data from other sources or used to build a profile of you.
• It is not used to email you about unrelated products.

Emails you receive

Every email is sent through Gumroad and carries an unsubscribe link, the name of the sender and a postal address, as the CAN-SPAM Act requires. A sponsor message inside an issue is labelled "Sponsored"; see the sponsor slot page.

How to stop

• Use the unsubscribe link in any email. You do not have to give a reason.
• Unsubscribing stops later issues. Files you already received stay available to you in your Gumroad library.
• To see, correct or delete the data Gumroad holds about you, use the options Gumroad provides in your account and in its privacy policy; that data sits in Gumroad's systems, not on this site.

Payments

If a paid product is offered, payment is taken by Gumroad on Gumroad's own checkout page. Card and payment details are handled by Gumroad and are never sent to or stored on this site. The Gumroad listing of a paid product states what it includes and how to cancel.

The data in the newsletter

The newsletter itself contains no personal data. It is compiled by automated agents (AI-assisted) from public pricing pages of software companies; the methodology page describes how.

Changes to this page

If the handling of email addresses changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
